Ultra Electronics partners with Jupitor of Japan
Ultra Electronics announced on Thursday that it has expanded its relationship with Jupitor Corporation of Japan to support the introduction of its latest technologies on major Japanese aerospace programmes.

The FTSE 250 firm said Jupitor had a “long and successful” history of supplying the “latest aerospace technology” to the benefit of its Japanese and regional customers and, with its “excellent connections” in Japanese industry, would provide Ultra with the “best possible” regional partner to support its aerospace business.
It said the “enhanced” partnership would allow Ultra technology to be offered on the latest Japanese aerospace platforms.
In addition, Ultra's ability to offer ITAR-free technology supported continued development within the industry.
The announcement was made during Ultra's participation in Prime Minister Theresa May's three-day visit to Japan.
“I am very pleased that Ultra's partnership with Jupitor has been expanded to encompass the latest aerospace technologies,” said Ultra chief executive Rakesh Sharma.
“Japan is an important market for Ultra and our aerospace technology is particularly well suited to the future civil and military aircraft platforms currently under development in Japan.
“Through our relationship with Jupitor we are making use of some of the best local knowledge and experience within the industry.”
Toshiyasu Asano, president of Jupitor Corporation, explained that it was Jupitor's mission to benefit Japan industry through the introduction of “cutting-edge technologies” which satisfy customer needs.
“Introducing Ultra's expertise and experience in state-of-the-art aerospace products to our customers in Japan is core to this mission and we are therefore delighted to build upon our long-standing relationship.”
