Keller, who has been CFO since he joined in 2006, will stay on in his role until a successor is in place to ensure a smooth transition. The company said he does not plan to take up another executive position and will instead pursue his interests outside the City.
Chairman Kevin Parry said: "We are grateful to Philip for his long service on the board and as part of the executive management team since 2006. During this time he has contributed significantly to the company's successful development and growth into a leading specialist asset manager. Once a successor is in place, he will leave with our thanks and best wishes for the future."
A further announcement about the CFO succession and the timing of Keller's departure will be made in due course, the group said.
It also provided an update on trading, saying its performance and outlook remain in line with previous guidance.
At 1315 BST, the shares were up 0.8% to 1,034p.
