The AIM-traded firm described DS Technology as an information communication technology infrastructure and services integration company.
It said it is a trusted integrator to the utility, oil and gas, government, defence and telecommunications sectors, focussed on very large-scale telecommunications and network infrastructure, applications and services which are designed, deployed and supported by skilled technical and management teams.
Under the terms of the agreement, CyanConnode displaced a significant competitor, the board claimed.
The agreement also included various sales performance milestones.
DS Technology would distribute CyanConnode's RF mesh networks, which were described as “self-forming” and “self-healing”, as well as its ‘Omnimesh’ platform that could manage multiple communication systems through one management control interface, significantly reducing complexity and integration costs, the firm said.
The Gulf Cooperation Council estimated that its member states could be able to save up to $10bn in infrastructure investment by 2020, CyanConnode said, through the use of information technology, including smart grids and smart metering.
That estimate provided DS Technology and CyanConnode with an “immense opportunity” to work with integrated utilities in the region, it said.
“We are excited to announce this Partnership with DS Technology, who have decided to replace a previous vendor's solution with CyanConnode's RF mesh networks and Omnimesh,” said CyanConnode chief operating officer Harry Berry.
“With DS Technology's established customer base in UAE and Bahrain, this partnership provides CyanConnode with a quick route to market.
“The partnership will maximise sales potential in two new territories as well as widening the company's global distribution channels.”
