London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was not showing any prices after the usual opening time of 0800, with prices in mid-cap and small cap shares also still failing to show until 0900 BST.
After the key opening auction took place an hour late, an LSE spokesperson said the process was delayed "due to a technical issue that has been resolved".
"LSE issues - no trading this AM," said one frustrated trader earlier. "There are no prices," moaned another, "it has not opened!"
This follows other technical issues for the LSE in April, where the regulatory news service was twice reduced to a dribble in the key first hour of trading.
NO market-maker prices on Level 2 yet so @LSEplc has evidently delayed the open but no announcement I can find.

This is worse than my local bus service. At least I can get the time of the next bus even if delayed. pic.twitter.com/8qMFX4MG3F
