Tesla chief executive Elon Musk announced on Sunday that he was exploring the concept of building several retro drive-in restaurants at the company's new Supercharger stations across Los Angeles.
Musk said Tesla, which had already taken steps to strategically place its Supercharger stations in locations where users could grab a bite to eat while charging their vehicles as part of its effort to alleviate concerns over the vehicle's suitability for cross-country trips or even long commutes, was looking into the idea of an "old school drive-in" replete with servers on roller skates and a rock and roll themed restaurant who’s menu would pop-up on the Tesla's touchscreen the moment the vehicle pulls into the station.

He went on to state that the proposed drive-in may not necessarily show feature-length presentations and would instead present a "highlight reel of the best scenes in movie history." This, of course, makes perfect sense given Tesla wouldn't want commuters taking up charging stations for two hours at a time.
As of 1000 GMT, Tesla shares had gained 0.29% to $317.50 each.
