Tuesday preview: BoE credit conditions survey, UK industrial production, GDP estimates
Tuesday’s agenda will be packed with UK macro-economic releases including the Bank of England’s (BoE) credit conditions survey, data on industrial output and gross domestic product (GDP) estimates.
The BoE’s survey will reveal the thoughts of bank and non-bank lenders on credit conditions in the past three months and coming three months.
The survey covers secured and unsecured lending to households and small businesses along with lending to non-financial corporations and to non-bank financial firms.
Separately, a report on UK industrial production is forecast to show a 2.6% increase in August while another is expected to reveal UK manufacturing output gained 3.4% the same month.
In afternoon trading, think-tank NIESR will release its latest estimates for GDP.
In the US, Federal Reserve officials Narayana Kocherlakota, William Dudley and Richard Porter will speak.
The US will also see the release of consumer credit figures for August.
On the company front, Ferrexpo reports its third quarter production results which are expected to show a quarter-on-quarter increase as it continues to ramp up.
Numis analyst Cailey Barker expects production to be up at 2.85Mt quarter-on-quarter, with 1.9Mt from FPM and 0.9Mt from Yeristovo (FYM), as the company continues to ramp-up production.
