The AIM-traded firm said the contract was valued at £0.8m per annum.
Under the Contract, which was awarded following a competitive tender process and successful pilot service, About Health would deliver referral management services to the clinical commissioning groups, effective from 1 October.
“I am delighted with the award of this contract which allows us to build on and expand our existing referral management services,” said About Health CEO Richard Benson.
“Independent evaluation of our services has shown that it delivers tangible benefits for referring clinicians and for patients, while generating significant savings for the NHS.
“This is a service that has great transferability across the NHS and we will be working hard to expand the reach of our services.”
Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally, added that the “significant” contract endorsed the quality and expertise of the services offered by About Health, along with its ability to “successfully support” the NHS.
“About Health has continued to strengthen its position as a market leader in its specialist areas and it remains focused on building upon this as it targets new contracts.
“At Totally, we aim to develop and deliver quality services across all our subsidiary companies in line with our vision of becoming a leading provider of out-of-hospital care and the partner of choice for the NHS.”
