TLA Worldwide appoints Richard Shamsi as CFO
AIM-listed athlete representation and sports marketing business, TLA Worldwide, has appointed Richard Shamsi as group chief financial officer with effect from 2 January 2018.

Shamsi has held senior finance roles for more than 15 years and has "considerable" experience in both the media and agency spaces, particularly working for UK based companies with extensive US operations.
Most recently, he served as CFO AKQA, a wholly-owned operating company of advertising group WPP and a leading full service digital agency where he was heavily involved in improving the operating and financial performance of the business. Prior to this, he was CFO of Weve Limited, a mobile media, data analytics, consultancy and technology solutions business, which was established as a joint venture between O2, Vodafone and EE.
Shamsi also spent ten years at the Daily Mail and General Trust from 2004, where he was CFO/COO of B2B Information, Daily Mail Ecommerce, the Digital Property Group, as well as group finance director at Associated Northcliffe Digital Group. He has also held senior finance positions in a number of other companies, including EMAP, Ionica and Electrocomponents.

At 0925 GMT, the shares were down 6.9% to 12.10p.
