The company said in a statement that the contract was a testament to the fact that the market is more willing than ever to accept the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model for management of innovation processes and decision support.
The company reports that, despite large organisations having been slow to move their innovation activities to the cloud, a growing number of new clients have opted for the company’s SaaS product.
Doosan has adopted the software to manage a portfolio of projects across a number of corporate groups, choosing it as an alternative to purchasing licenses in perpetuity and installing software on company premises.
Twila Perhus, Doosan Infracore’s director of IT, said: "We chose to partner with Sopheon on this initiative as they offered the best solution to help us maximize the performance of a range of critical business processes. Sopheon's software will enable us to better align our people and investments with our strategic and financial goals."
Sopheon’s shares were up 3.08% at 971.00p at 1603 BST.
