The Brazi power plant of OMV Petrom, the largest private investment project in Romania's energy sector, is said to be currently available at 100% of its 86MW capacity.
OMV Petrom, the largest integrated oil and gas group in Southeastern Europe, said the plant could cover up to 10% of Romania's average hourly electricity consumption.
The plant was commissioned in 2012, following around €530m of investment, but had experienced malfunctions at two transformers since the end of September 2016.
