Wilkins has been with AIM traded company MPAC Group for the past six years, serving as group financial controller between 2012 and 2016, senior project director and, for the last 12 months, group operations director.
The latter post saw Wilkins playing a "key role" as part of the group’s executive leadership team with responsibilities including the execution of the company’s operational strategy, according to MPAC.
Prior to joining MPAC, he held senior financial positions at BSH Home Appliances after beginning his career at Grant Thornton in 1992.
Andrew Kitchingman, chairman of MPAC, said: "It is a great pleasure to appoint Will to the Board of Mpac. His extensive financial and relevant experience at a senior level within our business will be extremely valuable as Mpac looks to execute its long term growth strategy. I would also like to thank Jim Haughey and we wish him all the very best for the future."
After stepping down from the board, Haughey will leave the company entirely on 31 August.
As of 1015 BST, MPAC Group’s shares were unchanged at 209.00p.
