Mobile Streams launches mobile crypto product in Argentina

Emerging markets-focussed mobile media company Mobile Streams announced the launch of Electroneum on Thursday, which it described as “the world's first” enablement cryptocurrency, onto a leading telecom operator channel in Argentina.

The AIM-traded from said it had partnered with Electroneum to provide its customers an option to generate cryptocurrency from their services, which could then be used to make online purchases, or exchanged for standard currency.
In addition, Mobile Streams sad it would earn revenue in line with customer rewards.
“We are very happy to launch the Electroneum product in Argentina, with the current economic instability in the region, the opportunity for customers to generate money through the mobile miner will be a positive enhancement to our live services,” said Mobile Streams chief executive officer Simon Buckingham.
Richard Ells, founder and CEO of Electroneum, added that his company was “delighted” to be partnering with Mobile Streams to launch in Argentina.
“This is a key territory for us as we look to move towards mass adoption and enable more people to live better lives,” Ellis said.
“Mobile Streams' ability to connect people will be crucial for us as we look to grow our global user base and give more people access to cryptocurrency through their mobile phones.
“They're a fantastic team and hopefully our launch in Argentina is the first of many ventures we’ll undertake together.”
