MHWirth awarded drilling contract in Canada from Wood Group Canada, says Akastor

MHWirth, owned by Akastor ASA, clinched a contract from Wood Group Canada, the energy, products and services provider, to deliver a drilling package for the West White Rose Project offshore Canada.
It was the first complex offshore drilling package to be awarded in the market in several years, the company higholighted.
The project, which was being developed by Husky Energy, was described by Akastor as a fixed facility with a platform supported by a concrete gravity structure.
"Being awarded this project represents an important milestone for MHWirth," said Finn Amund Norbye, CEO of MHWirth.
Amund added, "this is the first complex offshore drilling package awarded in the market in the past several years. We are looking forward to working closely with Husky and Wood Group on this project."
