Lekoil ramps up production at Nigerian asset
Nigerian oil and gas company Lekoil announced on Thursday that it had stepped up production at its Otakikpo field asset to 7,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) with the ramp-up set to continue over the coming months.
Lekoil highlighted the progress it had already made since production initially commenced at a rate of 5,000 boepd at Otakikpo in Febrauary.
A statement released to investors said the company was focussed on "ramping up to the phase one target production of 10,000 boepd, which the company still targets around year-end 2017."
As of 1110 BST, shares had dipped 1.41% to 17.50p.
