EMIS Group appoints Andy Thorburn as CEO
Healthcare software provider EMIS Group has appointed Andy Thorburn as chief executive effect from 1 May, following the retirement of Chris Spencer.

Thorburn recently returned to the UK after four years working for Digicel, latterly as the chief operating officer of the Caribbean and South Pacific based communications and entertainment provider.
He was previously chief executive of Digicel Caribbean and Central America and chief executive of Digicel Jamaica.
Prior to Digicel, Thorburn worked at Intec, Chronicle Solutions, Kalido and Orchestria, as well as a managing director within BT Group.
Thorbun will succeed Spencer, who joined the company in 1999 serving as chief administrative officer, group counsel and company secretary before being appointed chief executive in 2013.
Spencer will be available to the company for a period of time as a consultant.

Shares in EMIS Group were up 0.21% to 890.90p at 0827 BST.
