The AIM-traded company said it will deploy technology that constitutes a major expansion to the current capabilities of T2’s services, allowing the operator to provide 4K UHD content and value-added video on demand (VOD) and subscription- based VOD services.
Amino’s ENABLE software will power the expanded content delivery and support a wide array of new features targeted at improving customer experience.
Gregor Štampohar, chief security officer of T2, said: "We want to provide our customers with the very latest entertainment experiences and Amino's solutions have been a key factor in the successful launch of our new service offering. At the same time, we are also seeing the value of customer self-install of devices with considerable cost savings in terms of reduced engineering visits."
Headquartered in Ljubljana, T2 provides broadband, entertainment and voice over IP services across its own fibre-optic network, and is the second largest Slovenian operator by IPTV share.
Donald McGarva, chief executive of Amino Technologies, said: "Operators are now balancing the delivery of the latest high- quality consumer experiences around the home with a cost-effective drive to reduce installation and customer running costs. Our solutions are designed to meet these key objectives - and we're delighted to be working closely with T-2 on their exciting rollout.”
As of 1218 BST, Amino Technologies’ shares were up 1.35% at 209.80p.
